This excellent guide to clay and glazes by Daniel Rhodes has been a lifesaver for me. The book presents a plethora of information, from origins and history, to recipes and calculations. I highly recommend checking it out!

I have learned a lot of what I know about working on the wheel from teachers and countless hours of toiling. When I get stumped on a new technique or wish to perfect an old one, though, this book has been a great resource for me. Highly recommended!

A handy resource to have nearby in any studio, The Potter’s Dictionary of Materials and Techniques can answer most any question you or your students might have in the studio. There are even some words in here that you might not know. A great resource!
